At Pride Builders, we handle every aspect of carpentry in-house, from conventional and timber framing to exquisite interior trim, custom woodworking, and built-ins. Quality craftsmanship is our hallmark, and we’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crew Lead/Craftsman to join our team. This is a full-time employee position (not a 1099 contractor).

Position Summary:

The Crew Lead/Craftsman will lead and manage on-site carpentry crews, ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish. This role requires a deep understanding of all phases of residential construction, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise carpentry crews on residential construction projects.

• Oversee all on-site carpentry tasks, including framing (conventional and timber), finish carpentry, custom woodworking, and built-in installations.

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents.

• Accurately estimate materials needed for projects.

• Develop and implement efficient work plans and schedules for crews.

• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and maintain a safe and organized job site.

• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

• Troubleshoot on-site issues and implement effective solutions.

• Train and mentor junior carpenters.

• Manage project timelines and budgets.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Operate various power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Plan and anticipate project needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Carpenter/Craftsman, with demonstrated leadership experience.

• Extensive knowledge of all phases of residential construction, including conventional and timber framing.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.

• Strong math and measurement skills, including material estimation.

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage carpentry crews.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and time-management skills.

• Commitment to producing high-quality workmanship and exceeding customer expectations.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials

• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification preferred.

• No criminal record

Compensation and Benefits:

• $70,000 - $90,000 annually (based on skill, ability, and experience).

• Paid major holidays.

• Perform various carpentry tasks, including framing (walls, floors, roofs), finish carpentry (trim, molding, cabinetry), drywall installation and finishing, siding installation, window and door installation, and stair construction.

• Accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials according to blueprints and specifications.

• Operate a variety of power tools and equipment, including table saws, circular saws, miter saws, nail guns, planers, jointers, and other related equipment.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

• Collaborate effectively with other team members and subcontractors.

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, addressing their questions and concerns.

• Troubleshoot on-site issues and find practical solutions.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Carpenter/Craftsman.

• Proven experience in framing and finish carpentry.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

• Strong math and measurement skills.

• Experience operating various power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.

• Commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.

• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification preferred.

Compensation:

• $50,000 - $60,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications).
